Please take a moment to review and understand these rules detailed below. They are not here to keep you from having fun, but to make sure that order is maintained on this board. Spelling And Grammar: You must have good spelling and use proper grammar in your posts. This means using capitalization and punctuation. Shorthand, all caps, and excess punctuation are not allowed. Perfection is not required though. If you are dyslexic, autistic, or if English isn't your first language, please PM one of the mods or admins and let everyone else know. If you are caught using improper grammar, spelling, shorthand, or leet speak, then you have a month to improve. If you fail to improve within the one month timeframe from your last activity, your warn level will be raised. Spamming/Trolling: No spamming or trolling. Spamming is when you make unnecessary and unwanted posts. Trolling is when you browse the forum and make random unrelated posts. All spam and troll posts will be deleted. Flaming/Bashing: Flaming, nastyness towards other members (see topic in the Welcome Center), or bashing is not allowed. Images used for the purpose of insulting (as such "owned!" images, etc) are not allowed in posts. Do not start flame wars or get involved in them. No starting fights or bringing fights into this forum. Harrassing and/or flaming another member via PM's is also not allowed and result in your ability to use the PM center revolked temporarly. Learn to respect other people's opinions no matter how much they may differ from yours. If you disagree with anothers opinion, then please feel free to explain your side in an appropriate manner. Politics And Religion: Avoid politics and religion discussion as much as possible, for it can cause flame wars. Pro religious and political banners can only be in the interests area of your user profile and not in your signature. Personal Communication: Keep anything that is between you and another person personal. Do not make a topic that is for a certain person to read, keep it to PM's. This includes apoligizing to someone. Using the Board as a Blog: This board is not a Blog site and we would like to keep it that way. Advice from others can be a good thing if it is done WISELY. Any advice sought by other members may be posted but only using a hypothetical situation and NO MEMBER NAMES are to be used by the Topic Starter as well as the Posters that follow. For the first offense the topic or post will be deleted and a verbal warning issued. For the second offense a raise in warn level will be issued. This applies to all. Bear in mind that this doesn't refer to quoting what another member said in the thread provided that they didn't mention a name. Please refer back to the subject of "Personal Communication" when dealing with a personal issue. Regarding Personal Issues With Another Member: Keep peronal issues, including fights, off the board and out of the chatroom. If you have a personal issue with another member, keep it to PM's or IM's. Multiple Posting: Multiple posting is also not allowed. Use the Edit button if you need to add something. If you happen to make a double post, please click the report button to notify a staff member so they may delete the post. Pointless Topics: Do not make pointless threads. Pointless topics will be closed. Put Topics In The Right Forums: Please post topics in the correct forum. For example, if the topic is about Sonic X, put it in the Sonic X forum instead of the Off Topic forum. Topics that are not in the correct forum will be moved to the correct one. Duplicate Topics: Do not make a topic about something if there is another topic talking about the same thing. If you do make a thread that is currently being discussed in another, the duplicate topic will be closed or merged, depending on the situation. Topic Bumping: Do not bump topics that haven't been replied to in a long time. Any old topic that is bumped will be closed. Generally, a topic that hasn't been posted in for more than 1 month would be considered old One-word Posts: Do not make one-word posts just "Nice" or "Cool", etc. When giving crtique, say what you liked and what can be improved. If you agree or disagree with a person, explain it why you agree/disagree with that person rather than saying 'I agree/disagree with you.' All one-word posts will be deleted. Being Made Mod Or Admin: Do not ask to be made a moderator or Administrator. Moderators and Administrators are appointed by the discretion of the staff. If you ask to become a moderator or Administrator then you will not become one. Spoilers: To avoid spoiling things for other people, please put the word "SPOILERS" in the topic title if your topic contains spoilers. If your post contains spoilers, please clearly and boldly mark at the top of your post, or put the spoiler in the spoiler tag. This same rule applies to avatar and sigs, please do not post pictures that will reveal a new game/series. Quotes from games that would be seen as spoilers are best left inside spoiler tags. If you are concerned about avatars or sigs containing spoilers, it is reccommended that you turn them off. Episode Downloads: You may only provide links to episodes that have not been released on video or DVD yet in any region. However, you may not ask for episodes. Inappropriate Images And Language: No inappropriate images or language. Please censor any and all inappropriate content. Keep all of your posts clean. Furthest allowed in images is kissing/cuddling. Posting Stolen Works: Any stolen fanart and fanfics gets a month long ban, no warning what-so-ever before the ban. You may only use another person's work only if they have given you permission or if they state you can use it so as long as credit is given. Posting Restricted Threads: All future restricted threads such as "Team Snow Members Only" will be closed as soon as they are found. This is NOT a board for private threads, you can make your own board for that. Regarding Topics About Couple Parings: ALL Couple topics that are NOT fanfiction/fanart are forbidden on this board. The reason is because we support ALL types of couples and will not allow those topics to remain open to prevent fights. Regarding "Teams": Fan-made "Teams" are too be off this site. Please make your own board for it. Team comics, fanfic, and fanart are allowed to be posted though. You may also have a single team image for sigs, but nothing else. Links to sites in sigs are also fine, but no Team topics. Use The "Report To Moderator" Feature: It is very important that you use the "Report To Moderator" button whenever you see a post or topic in violation of the rules. This ensures that the Mods and Admins can deal with the problem faster. You only need to hit the report button once. Constant abuse of it will result in a warn. Avatar And Sig Rules: Avatar and signature image size may not excede 200kb. If any image found is larger than the limit, it will be removed. We will give you benefit of the doubt if it is slightly over 200kb. 500x200 pixels is largest image allowed in a signature. Maximum amount of image space allowed within a signature is 500x300 pixels, total limit for signature filesize is 200 KB, and keep text down to a minimum. Below is an example of a 500x200 pixel image:
 Note: Only up to 5 blinkies and a combined total of 5 eggs/creatures can be on your sig. Having too many of them can get annoying. Punishment for breaking the rules: Warning 1 - Member is given a verbal warning PM Warning 2 - Member is on moderated posts for a week Warning 3 - Member is banned for month. If behavor doesn't improve after that, it will be a perm ban.
If you haven't broken any rules after a month of being warned, your warn level will go down by one.
Evading a perm account ban will result in the banning of your IP. |
