Why am I asking this? Today, I went to Target browsing as usual, and I noticed Shadow the Hedgehog at the $20 price. What's more, it has the Player's Choice logo on the top part(Sonic Riders right now is the only Sonic game without that logo).

So, I want to know, how many copies did Shadow sell on the GCN?

Edit: Oh, and I just wanna add, Shadow made Greatest hits for PS2. Doubtful for the X-Box, but then again, nether Sonic HEroes nor Mega Collection got the Platnium Collection.

Well, I know Shadow the Hedgehog was the GC Christmas #1 last year. That's gotta count for something.

Yup, a placement in the player's choice range means exactly that, it's a players choice. Only game's which have sold quite well go into there.

If that's so, why is Shadow on there and not Sonic Riders(Last I heard, the GCN version sold decently)

Because Sonic Riders is fairly recent. I think the game has to have been from the previous year or something like that. Either way, the time it was released does have an effect.

The requirment for a GC game is 250,000 copies. Sonic riders apparently hasn't sold that much.

Sonic Riders is also only 7 months old. Even less in the UK.

I just did a check on the sales of Shadow for the GCN here in America. The amount of sales that it sold were around 400,000. At least 200,000 less than Sonic Adventure DX.

Anyway, I also checked the sales of GCN Sonic Riders here in America and it was around 310,000.

Yeah it was I agree
The shadow game was a must have for me christmas list.
So I dunno how much they are selling in the UK for shadow.
Also sonic DX was a brilliant game and the PC version demo is tricky.
Anyway I guess the shadow game did quite good over here.

EXTRA: My 400th post Yay!
