I have read loads of posts and messages here and most of them say "OMG the Sonic X VA's are awful, the official Sega VA's were better than them" Either like their voices or hate them, the 4kids Sonic X VA's are here to stay... in either next gen sonic games and Sonic X. I noticed this when I played Sonic Hero's and Sonic Advance 3, all of the 4kids VA's had their voices in the latest sonic games... but that shows that 4kids didn't dub the games did they? Sega had new VA's like Shadows new voice in Shadow The Hedgehog, when he says "Chaos Control" he sound like the 4kids Shadow VA' doesent he! From all of this confusion I am pretty certain that Sega used their new cast of official Sonic VA's in 4kids Sonic X dub, all 4kids did was give them their script and added repetetive BGM in it.

The games do not use any of the voices from Sonic X. (dub)

Actually, it's only Eggman getting his Sonic X voice. For Shadow, it's like Tails. The VAs get deeper voices, and they sound different. Although when Shadow's voice is deeper, his voice sounds better IMO. And in the new Sonic games, they had the same voice as before, except Tails. I wonder if he'll have to get another actor. [Mutters something about SEGA just hiring a girl like they did in SX]

Possible but unconfirmed.

This sounds like a load of crap to me. The game VAs have always been the same (bar Tails) throughout the series. I don't know what VAs you've heard, but none of them sound like they're from Sonic X to me. >.>

Im probably the ONLY person here who would say this but... i'd actually LIKE to see 4Kids VA's become the official VA's.
As the series progressed [yes, Ive seen all 1-52 in English] they got better, and in some cases even better. OK, Gammas voice was TERRIBLE! Chris' is ok.. but for Sonic, tails,knuckles,amy,cream,etc... were very good by the time ep52 came along. Shadow & Gamma are the only game chars I'd prefer to keep their official eng voices. NOTE: this is just my opinion! -------------------- ***********

Yeah, a lot of the 4Kids voices annoy me.
If they ever replaced the official VAs, I'd always set the game to Japanese voices. If you couldn't, I'd get the Japanese versions. Most of you know that I *adore* Amy Palant's Tails though. ^^; I'd actually like it if she became the official Tails VA. Then again, I'm part of a minority in that opinion. Have you checked any of the names listed in the credits? ^^; William Corkery voices Tails in Heroes, and Sarah Wulfeck voiced Cream. But in Sonic X, Amy Palant voices Tails, and Rebecca Honig voiced Cream. Like it's been said already in the topic, none of the Sonic X dub VAs have voiced characters in the games... Sorry, I don't mean to be offensive, but, if you can't tell the official voices from 4Kids voices, your ears need help. X__x; ESPECIALLY with Tails. Mike Pollock's a pretty good VA compared to most of the dub ones... but, I just don't think he'd work so well for game Eggman. He may be a pretty good VA, but he doesn't match Deem Bristow at all, imo...
Though, I guess it wouldn't be the worst thing ever... I mean, I'm used to Mike Pollock's voice now, so I wouldn't be -too- bothered about him being the game VA. I mean, I'd rather have him that a new VA that ends up being crappy and you shudder everytime you hear the character speak... x_X;; Though, it'd be nice to have a new VA that could imitate Deem pretty well.... -------------------- There was an Echidna from Vegas / Whose hairstyle was loud and outrageous When asked by the cops, why the dreadlocks? / He told them the idea was Sega's. |

The Eggman in Sonic X has a different personality than the Eggman in the games. (Atleast I think so.) Pollock is good as the quirky, humorous Eggman. Not the evil Eggy in the games. Tails voice in Sonic Heroes sounds more like a little kid (and sometimes its hard to understand what he is saying cause he sounds so whiny), and his voice in the 4kids dub sounds very feminine and a bit high pitched.
