So what do you people who read the Archie comics think of the current storyline right now? Sonic's finally returned home to Mobius to find everything has changed. Eggman is stronger than ever, Knothole's a big city, and poor Knux has been kicked out of his island. I enjoyed the Home saga even though it ended on a sad note. *Sees Julie laughing at Sally's misfortune*. Anyone have any opinions on what should be changed or done better?

BTW, if ANYONE says Archie sucks in this topic, I'm going to eat you.

Don't really think anything needs changed, I like the saga. But my favorite is probably the "Mobius: 25 Years Later" saga. Julie-Su has always been my Fav Sonic girl, which makes "M:25YL" Even better.

Sally breaking up with Sonic was good. Putting fleetway Characters Teckno, Ebony, Shortfuse, and even Sonic's old disguise from Fleetway was rather different.

Theres only one major gripe I have with that issue though... ASH. ASH? ASH!
What kind of name for a mongoose is that? And why a mongoose.. ain't we got enougth characters? Why invent Ash.. not only does he look like a jerk but his hair reminds me of Ash from Pokemon which makes it worse... infact.. he looks like an Ash/Neo crossover... good god!

Mina.. a boyfriend.. you can't just have her following Sonic around one minute, get shot, skip a whole year of her and everyones lives and expect her to suddenly out of no where have a boyfriend, Jeezus christ!

I know I'm ranting.. sorry. But I asked Karl about this and wether it will be followed up by Sonic in someway, a rivalry even between him and Ash in future... for the first time ever he compleatly evaded that question... and as far as we know he only does that when he doesn't wanna give stuff away.

Anyway.. moving on.
Now we hit this whole thing with Tommy... talk about finding a very old and stupid way of reviving an old character... god almighty.. start killing em off already... TOO MANY!

Uh... what are you talking about? A *lot* can happen in a year's time, and that includes Mina getting over Sonic and getting a new boyfriend. I would think it more disturbing if Mina was *still* keeping a candle lit for Sonic after all that time.

Still, judging from Ash's attitude, I suspect we're going to eventually wind up with another Dulcy situation where Mina gets abused and Sonic and Ash fight for her honor or some such thing. Then again, knowing how Archie is with continuity, they could just forget about him entirely. :P

And that's the only real problem I have with the Archie comic in general, and the current story in particular: A lack of consistancy. Before this whole Tommy crap started, you had Sonic and Sally in a massive public break-up, and then in the very next issue, Sonic acts as if nothing ever happened. Somehow, I don't think Sonic is *that* good at hiding his emotions. :P

I'm sure Sonic felt really upset about breaking up with Sally. Nevertheless he knows that he has to get rid of Eggman, and has to put *everything* aside in order to make that happen. That's my reasoning for why Sonic doesn't feel any different.

I'm GLAD Sonic and Sally broke up, that's the most unholy, sinful coupling EVER. Too bad that M:25YL tells us they DO get back together. ><

The Home thing was pretty good, but I felt part 4 was a bit dull. The epilogue was great.

This whole "Tommy Trilogy" is OK, but a little hollow. I think part 1 was best, because it aroused genuine suspicion.

...and just who IS 'anonymous'?

thats anouther point...

1) at the start of the year, Gabriel and Karl stated after there annual meeting for the year that M25YL would be an alternative view of the future and would not be the future to come.

2) Ken got pissed at this and begn ranting and raving.. which wa bad.

3) Then Ken says 'Angel Island Future is set in stone.. but as events on Mobiuse do not effect Angel Island then anything down there such as Sonic and Sally could vary in any way (in other words Sonic's future is not set). But this post was deleated after 24 hours.

4) Then Ken admits that his future is written based on what he feels is more populer (Like Sonic and Sally which is slowly going down).

And now after all that we find that Ken is doing his damndest to make Karl accept M25YL as there future SET IN STONE.
God sake Ken.. get a life and back off.. your stupid comic does not dictate everything else.

But as I said on Karls board (Karl of whome coouldn't agree more with me) 'If Lara-Su was able to visit an alternate past, why can't M25YL be an alternative Future?'

i think the current storyline is interesting IMO. although some parts were dull. other parts were great.

Oh, I agree. I just wish they'd keep going with the aftermath and all that, instead of suddenly switching to a completely unrelated story as if it never happened. Hell, Sonic sheds more tears for the "death" of his dad than he does after Sally slaps him, and Sonic is a helluva lot closer to Sally than he is with his father. :P

Sonic has a father?

Sonic's father is a robot... well his father was roboticized and can't be changed back, but he kind of has life in him, since he remembers everything and has a personality and feelings as anyone else.

Well I've been a fan of the comic since 1996 and still collect it. Right now I think the main story is moving quite slow. I personally don't mind the turtle story, but honestly it has no point and it is dragging. I mean why would they bring him back from the dead, then have a robot clone of him, and then say he is still stive. But not only that, Sonic seemed to have forgetten about his father and thought more about this 'seventeen'(I think that's right) thing. Instead of dragging the turtle story I think it would of been better to drag Sonic father's death lol.

The 25 year thing, I like so far. Sure the story is moving quite slow, but things are just beginning. Plus all the old characters are mature and all.

The last story I thought was alright. Nothing to really say about it except it was a good thing Knux didn't go on the the island.

Aww to bad that one guy is leaving(yes I forget names easily).

The letter page....well I stopped reading them issue's ago because the answers weren't really answers at all. Yeah they use to be one of my favorite part of the comic to read...

Personally the comic has disappointed me alot after the Sonic Adventure saga. I mean at that point the artwork went bad and the story line, the stories became to short in length, the action was skipped or really short. But luckly that all picked up after the 100s. The the artwork became better and so did the story. Although it wasn't and still isn't good as the stories they had before #50.

Now I think the stories are focusing to much on Sonic and stuff ends up being repetive. I mean to me now if Sonic gets in a near death situation I know he is going to survive and if not, they are just going to repeat what they did before with his previous 'death'(Yes I know that he is the main character and Sega won't let him die). Now I would like them to take a break from Sonic and focus on characters like Tails, Amy, Bunnie or just someone else.

I wouldn't mind what is happening now if they had the special's, Knuckles comic, and the mini series around(Boy that was a fun time for me. Lol just walking in the store and seeing like 3 different Sonic comics at once just made me so happy and I would read them for hours). But sadly they don't have the budget to do so. And this causes the main stories to be to short now.

Also I don't like when Sega gets involved with the comic. It just messes up the story line sometimes.
