Sonic X Voices To Be The New Official Game Voices?, Not too sure if it's true... Options

According to this it seems that from "Shadow the Hedgehog" onwards, the voice cast for Sonic X will now be the voices for the characters in the games aswell. Is this true? I haven't heard it anywhere else, but the journal is from someone from Sonic cult so it seems reliable.

A post later on in the journal mentions that it was cheaper to get the 4kids VAs, who lived in NY, rather than bring the originals from LA. It'd make some sense, considering Mike Pollock mentioned something about his contract forbidding him to say anything when asked if he was to become the new Eggman in the games... can anyone shed any light on this?

I wont believe it until i see solid proof. I think cult interviewed Ryan Drummond before (Voice of Sonic) and he said that Sega of america likes him as they have had feedback from the Sonic fans saying that Ryans voice is the best for Sonic (And indeed it is, to me at least). I think it's likely that Mike Pollock will voice Eggman as Mr Bristow is deceased now and he has a good eggman voice i think.

I really hope this isn't true.

I mean most of the 4kids VAs are good (except for Rouge, Gamma etc, who are awful), but even so the Game VAs are better. Even if all the 4kids VAs were good I'd stick with the game VAs any day, in my opinion the game VAs are absolutely excellent.

I knew that Shadow's VA sounded like 4kids one and a few other characters VAs' aswell!

Like I said, I'm not sure if it's true or not. The only example of the voices in the new games I've heard was in the Shadow game, and he was yelling, so it was a bit hard to tell who it was. I posted this here just to see if anyone else heard this and was able to confirm it or not.

In any case, I hope it's not true. While I wouldn't mind Mike Pollock as Eggman, I've gotten used to and like the original voices (especially Sonic's and Shadow's) so there doesn't seem to be much of a point to change them.

I'm SURE Shadow wasn't Jason Anthony Griffith in the Shadow game.I would've recognized if it was that AWFUL Sonic X voice. Plus it sounded just like Shadow from SA2. But as far as the Sonic X actors go, I'll rate ??/10

I remember seeing the first 3 Shadow The Hedgehog demo previews, and in the 3rd one he says "Chaos Control" and "Chaos Blast" strait away when I heard his voice the 4kids Shadow VA sound very much like him!

That was without a doubt his original SA2 actor in the demo preview. Not to start a flame war, but I think your just a tad bit on the paranoid side. I could recognize the booming snarl his voice has always had anywhere.

No offense taken. I just wanted to be sure, at first, I thought it was the SA2 voice aswell. But with the Mike Pollock thing and that journal entry, I just wanted to be certain.

I think the only reason Mike couldn't say anything about the next game is because he doesn't know anything. Besides, he's the only other Eggman VA we know of besides the late Deem Bristow.

The only VA we can possibly even speculate is Mike Pollock being the New Eggman VA.

I doubt that, excluding Mike Pollock, that Sega will use all of the 4Kids actors. After all, Deem Bristow(God rest his soul)is no longer in the VA slot for Robotnik, it would make much sense for Pollock to take his place, seeing as he's almost as good as Bristow.

This is in no way true. The Shadow the Hedgehog trailers that have been released have David Humphrey as the voice of Shadow, you can clearly tell its him, and then theres the Sonic Rush trailer, where Sonic keeps saying "Yeah!" over and over again, which is defenately Ryan Drummond. Plus there have been no news at all saying this, not even from Ryan Drummond (who I'm sure would defenatley have something to say about it on his site, which still needs to be updated).

Though, many will disagree with me, but I'd love to hear Jason Griffith's Sonic voice in the games, I'm starting to like his voice more than Ryan's (So sew me )*ducks from the rocks being thrown at him*. The only 4Kids VA that will be probably be in the games is Mike Pollock to take over the role of Eggman, which I'm almost certain will happen.

Men, don't get it too seriously, and think about it for a moment.

What voices did we actually hear from SHadow the Hedgehog? Yes, "Chaos Control!" and "CHaos Blast!", and they sound much more like the good old voice actor of Shadow in the games rather the the one in the anime.

ANd secondly, I chatted with a guy at the nintendo forums that was at Leipzig, and he said the Shadow voice actor was the same from the other games and that the new Eggman voice was much similar to Deem Bristow, and not the one from Sonic X.
